Pange

Pange is a commune with 928 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region. It belongs to the district of Metz- Campagne and is the capital ( chef-lieu ) of the Canton of Pange.

Geography

Pange is located about eight kilometers east of Metz on the French Nied ( Nied française ) at an altitude 212-289 m above sea level. The municipality covers 8.57 km ².

History

From 1915 to 1918, it bore the Germanized name barrettes, 1940-1944 clasps on the Nied.
