Pavlínov

Pavlinov ( German Pawlinau ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located ten kilometers west of Velké Meziříčí and belongs to Okres Zdar nad Sázavou.

Geography

Pavlinov is located in the southern part of the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands in the valley of the brook Pohořílský creek. To the north rises the Pavlínovská horka (614 m), to the east the Jalovcová hora ( 584 m ) southwest of the Hradiště ( 661 m ) in the west of Panský Kopec ( 668 m) and northwest of the Křiby (613 m) and Chlumek (628 m).

Neighboring towns are Chlumek, Benešov, Pouště and Geršov in the north, Otín in the northeast, Pohořílky in the east, Horni Radslavice the southeast, Bochovice in the south, Svatoslav and Zátiší the southwest, U Čížků, Pouště and Brodek in the west and Kamenička and Dvůr in the northwest.

History

Pavlinov was probably founded shortly after the establishment of the Provost Měřín in 1298 and was on the major communication route between Měřín and Třebíč. The first written mention of the village belonging to the provost took place in 1479. Upon termination of the Provost Pavlinov belonged to the goods, the Emperor Ferdinand I in 1556 hereditary transferred to Vratislav of Pernštejna. 1559 bought Jan D. Ä. Stránecký Stránec of the village. Stránecký had built a stronghold and raised Pavlinov to a freehold. After the Battle of White Mountain, the goods of Aleš Stránecký were confiscated. 1653 Pavlinov, together with the rule Zhoř to the Convention of the Discalced Carmelites of St.. Anna transferred to Manner village. There then follow several changes of ownership and 1729 Freihofstraße Pavlinov was the rule Zhoř slammed and hooked up with this at Velké Meziříčí. The first local seal is from 1668 and shows the hl. Martin on horseback. Since 1787, a judge in Pavlinov is detectable.

After the abolition of patrimonial created in 1850 the municipality Pavlinov in the District team Velké Meziříčí. Because of the high poverty left Leopoldina Princess Lobkowicz 1860, the municipality has a meadow at the forester's house as pasture. In addition, three almshouses were established. Since 1921, the municipality bears the name Pavlinov. During a major fire in 1934 burned down 21 houses and several other outbuildings. At the beginning of 1961 Pavlinov was assigned to the Okres Zdar nad Sázavou. Between 1980 and 1990 the place was incorporated to Otín.
