Political Film Society Award for Democracy
The Political Film Society Award for Democracy is awarded every year to a film that promotes awareness and the level of the public in the specific areas of democracy and freedom and support. This prize is awarded by the Political Film Society (PFS ) since 1988, with an interruption (1996). Depending on the number of films that qualify for this category, there are years in which only a single film was nominated for this award, but up to seven films have been nominated in a year in subsequent years, so there is no fixed, annual number of nominees.
The price can be forgiven like any other Political Film Society Award ( PFSA ), to a mainstream film, an independent film or at an international film.
