Rapagnano

Rapagnano ( in the local dialect: Rapagna ) is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 2113 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the Province of Fermo in the Marche. The community is located about 10.5 kilometers west of Fermo. The southeastern boundary of the municipality forms of Tenna.

History

The present town dates back to Roman settlement with a temple of Janus, who gave the place after the Italian Giano the name. Between 600 and 700 AD, the town was destroyed by an earthquake.
