Renault Modus (2004-2008)
The Renault Modus is a minivan from Renault, which until December 2012 was available from August 2004 and has been produced in Factoría CARROCERIA Montaje Valladolid Renault España in Valladolid. Successor is from June 2013, the Renault Captur.
In 2004, the mode has been presented as a concept at the Geneva Motor Show as a mode ². It represents a derivative of his platform brother, introduced in 2005 new Renault Clio dar. Both models combine about 20 % identical parts. Also on the same platform is the current Nissan Micra and the Nissan Note.
It has an optional mount bike carrier called Velofix, found on the two bikes place. Another special feature is the Triptic bench, in which the two outer seats of the rear seat can be pushed together by folding up the seat cushion in the middle. Thereafter, the seat can be moved rearwards in order to ensure a larger leg or a larger boot, depending on the position.

The Renault Modus 2004 reached the Euro NCAP crash test in the evaluation of occupant protection with 33 points the maximum of five stars in the occupant safety for children 38 points and therefore four stars and with 6 points in the evaluation of pedestrian safety one of four possible stars.
Facelift and Grand Modus
In spring 2008 the mode was treated to a revision. This also included newly designed bumpers, headlights and taillights.
The Grand Modus is a lengthened version of the Renault Modus and has been available since 2008. The exterior length is increased by 161 mm to 4034 mm and the wheelbase has been increased by 93 mm to 2575 mm. At the same time the mode was given a facelift. Especially the headlights, and the rear end including the rear lights were adapted to the Renault family face. Many new storage options are available in the interior. The cargo volume in the rear seat folded is now 1,454 liters. For the motors, the 1.5 dCi with 63 kW (86 hp) now have a diesel particulate filter and a 6th gear, as it the model with 76 kW (103 hp) already had.
The new headlights the bulbs can now be even changed, which was not possible with the predecessor and was often criticized.
