Riemst ( Limburg: Riems ) is a municipality in Belgium in the south east of the Flemish province of Limburg. The municipality has 16,265 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2012). The municipality is bordered by the Flemish neighboring communities Tongeren, Hoeselt, Blizen Lanaken, the Walloon communities Bassenge ( German: Bitsingen ) and Visé ( German: Weset ) and the Dutch city of Maastricht.

In Riemst there are many attractions, such as protected monuments, numerous marl caves, mushroom farms and the only wine castle in Flanders.

Riemst consists of the villages: Genoelselderen, Herderen, pot, Membruggen, Millen, Riemst, Val- Sea, Vlijtingen, Vroenhoven and Zichen - Zussen - Bolder, which in 1977 merged into one municipality.
