Seestermühe
Seestermühe is a municipality in the district of Pinneberg, in Schleswig -Holstein.
Geography and transport
The community is located directly on the Elbe between the rivers Krückau and Pinnau midst of Seestermüher march, one of the four Elbmarschen. Also at the township is part of the uninhabited island of Elbe Pagensand. Directly adjacent neighboring municipalities are Neuendeich and Seester next larger cities Elmshorn and Uetersen.
History
Seestermühe was first documented in 1141 and originally belonged to the diocese of Bremen, the Dutch immigrants settled from 1105, which should strengthen the cultivation of the embossed by flooding the country. Tourism
Like most communities in the Elbmarschen is also Seestermühe popular especially in the summer months destination for day-trippers and cyclists. Education
