Shawn Matthias
Shawn Matthias ( born February 19, 1988 in Mississauga, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since March 2014 at the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League contract.

Career
Shawn Matthias began his career as a hockey player for the Belleville Bulls, for whom he played from 2004 to 2008 a total of four years in the Ontario Hockey League. During this time he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2006 in the second round than a total of 47 players from the Detroit Red Wings, the Center on February 27, 2007, together with their second-round vote for the NHL Entry Draft in 2007 in exchange for Todd Bertuzzi transferred to the Florida Panthers, but he had previously played each for the Red Wings. After Matthias initially continued to play for Belleville in the OHL, he gave during the 2007/ 08 season his debut in the National Hockey League, where he scored two goals in four games for the Panthers. In the 2008 / 09 season, Matthias is both the squad of Florida, as well as from their AHL farm team Rochester Americans.
After nearly six years in the Panthers franchise transferred him this along with Jacob Markström on March 4, 2014 a day before the trade deadline to the Vancouver Canucks. In return, joined the Roberto Luongo to Florida.
Internationally
For Canada Shawn Matthias took part in the Junior World Championship 2008 part in the Czech Republic which, with his team won the gold medal.
