Swatch FIVB World Tour 2010
The FIVB World Tour 2010 women comprised 15 tournaments, six of which as a Grand Slam, and the other nine were discharged as Open.
Tournaments
Brasilia Open ( 19 to 24 April )
In 2010 Like last year, started the tour of the women in April in the capital of Brazil. Since the multiple German volleyball player of the year Angelina green with her partner Rieke Brink - Abeler failed already in the Country_Quota and their conquerors Hüttermann / Schumacher and Köhler / Sude not survive the qualification attained by the German couples in addition to the set Sara Goller and Laura Ludwig only Laboureur / Lehmann as a lucky loser the main draw, after two defeats they occupied the shared 25th place. Shanghai Open (4th- 9 May),
New edition of the finals of the 2009 World Cup: As in Stavanger were named the winners in China Jennifer Kessy and April Ross against Larissa and Juliana. Also in the match for third place, the duel between Brazil and the United States. The bronze medal secured the South Americans Antonelli and Talita against May- Treanor - Branagh. Best German were Geeske Banck and Anja Gunther in seventh place, Goller / Ludwig left without a win from an early stage and were only 25.
Foro Italico Beach Volley Grand Slam in Rome ( May 17 to 22 )
After Larissa and Juliana had still dominated their preliminary group at the first Grand Slam of the season, was in the quarter-final stage against their country Antonelli and Talita women. However, the two Brazilians failed in the next game to Sara Goller and Laura Ludwig, in other U.S. semifinals defeated the reigning world champions, the reigning Olympic gold medalist Misty May- Treanor and her partner Nicole Branagh. Jennifer Kessy and April Ross also won the Game against Goller / Ludwig, had to order in their third final suffered their third defeat. Seoul Open ( May 25 to 30 )

Grand Slam in Moscow ( June 7 to 13 )

Grand Slam in Stavanger ( June 28-July 3 )
In the Country Quota Laboureur / Lehmann failed to Köhler / brews and Banck / Gunther to Brink-Abeler/Grün, both winning teams were able to prevail also in the qualification, however, eliminated in the group stage with three defeats from. Holt Wick / Semmler reached as in Moscow the shared 13th place. Both Brazilian teams won their games and met again after further victories in the final. Grand Slam in Gstaad ( July 5 to 10 )
With the same results in the same pairings as in Stavanger ended the German Country Quota, but with the difference that the winners have not been successful in qualifying. The two selected German couples were successful and met in the quarter-finals. The inferior Katrin Holt Wick and Ilka Semmler occupied for the second time this season, the joint fifth place, the winners Sara Goller and Laura Ludwig reached after another victory over the Chinese women Xue / Zhang Xi the final, which they could not win at the fourth attempt. World Series 13 Marseille ( 19 to 25 July )
Köhler / Sude prevailed as Brink-Abeler/Grün both the Country Quota as well in qualifying, but could any of their two games in the main draw to decide for themselves. Åland Open ( 16 to 21 August 2010)
In Mariehamn Laboureur and Lehmann defeated in the Country Quota Fischer and Großner, but then lost to Jana Kohler and Julia Sude. Angelina Grün and Rieke Brink - Abeler could not repeat their success and Norwegian had against Stefanie Hüttermann and Anni Schumacher left behind. Both successful German teams survived the qualification. In the first round all four German teams Hüttermann / Schumacher lost but only very narrowly to the set at number two Maria Antonelli and Talita with 13:15 in the third set. While the two Germans could not win their next match after three sets, came for Katrin Holt Wick Ilka Semmler and after a win in their second game in just the next round the corner. The Hague Open ( 24 to 29 August 2010)
The German elite did not start in the neighboring country, as they had gathered at the national championships on Timmendorfer beach. Both the premature Tour Winners 2010 Larissa / Juliana and their country Talita and Antonelli women were not there at the penultimate tournament of the year in China. Phuket Thailand Open ( 2 to 7 November 2010)
