Torriglia
Torriglia ( Torriggia Ligurian ) is a municipality in the province of Genoa with 2395 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012).
Geography
The municipality is situated on the hills of the valley Trebbia near the Passo della Scoffera. The distance to the capital of Liguria Genoa is about 36 kilometers. The municipal area there are numerous forests and pastures in summer Torriglia is a popular destination for residents of Genoa.
Torriglia together with seven other municipalities, the mountain community of Alta Val Trebbia and is also a part of the Parco naturale regional Antola (Regional Natural Park Antola ).
According to the Italian classifications for seismic activity Torriglia Zone 4 has been assigned. This means that the city is in a seismically inert zone.
