Věstín

Vestin ( German United Wiestin ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located eight kilometers northeast of Bystřice nad Perštejnem and belongs to Okres Zdar nad Sázavou.

Geography

Vestin is on the left opposite the mouth of the Bystřice in the Svratka in the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands. To the west lies the dam Vir I. To the north rise the Bukovec (707 m) and Horni les (Upper Forest, 774 m), south of the Dubovice (640 m) and the Pyšolec ( 464 m). In the south of the dam Vir is II

Neighboring towns are Dudkovice in the north, Rovečné in the northeast, Malé Tresné and Věstínek in the east, in the southeast Bolesin, Kobylnice and Vir in the south, Hrdá Ves in the southwest, Chlum in the west and Polom in the northwest.

History

The village was created in the course of the colonization of the border forests between Moravia and Bohemia. It belonged to the estates of Stepan Pernštein family of widow Clare and was first mentioned, as this could overwrite other children the property in 1349 to their son with her second husband Vznata of Tasov and Vznatas. A little later came Vestin back to the reign Pernštejna. In 1590, Vestin, together with eleven other villages in the area connected to the rule Kunstadt to which it belonged until 1848.

After the abolition of patrimonial Vestin formed with the district Maly Vestin ( Věstínek ) from 1850 onwards a municipality in the district Boskovice.

At the end of the Second World War acted in the surrounding woods partisans. In December 1944 they shot the German inhabitants Karel Haberhauer and in March 1945, his widow. In 1949 the congregation to Okres Bystřice nad Pernštejnem. 1961 Bolesin was incorporated and the town Vestin assigned to the Okres Zdar nad Sázavou. In 1973, Vestin has been connected to Rovečné. Since 1990, the community is again.

The surroundings of Vestin is an archaeological site of grenades, muscovites and Titaniten.

The municipality consists of the villages Bolesin Vestin ( Boleschin ), Vestin ( United Wiestin ) and Věstínek (small Wiestin ) and the monolayer Ve Žlebech.
