Vuk Jeremić

Vuk Jeremic (Serbian: Вук Јеремић, born July 3, 1975 in Belgrade ) is Serbian politician of the party Demokratska Stranka and from 15 May 2007 to July 2012 Foreign Minister of the Serbian government and elected president of the UN General Assembly in 2012.

As a member of Queens' College Jeremic is a graduate of the University of Cambridge in the teaching of natural sciences ( natural sciences ) with a focus on theoretical physics. After graduation, he worked for various banks in London, including the German bank, as well as for the pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca. At Harvard University, he obtained a Master of Public Administration. He was co-founder of the Organization of Serbian Students Abroad. After the fall of the Milosevic regime in 2000, he returned to his home and worked for the Yugoslav Telecommunications Ministry. In 2003 he moved to the Ministry of Defence of Serbia and Montenegro, where he was special envoy for links with NATO and the EU. From 2004 to 2007 he was a foreign policy advisor to President Boris Tadić. In February 2006, he was elected to the board of Tadić's Democratic Party. From 15 May 2007 to July 2012 he was Serbian Foreign Minister.

Jeremic is married and speaks his native language, Serbian, English and German.
