Water polo at the 1924 Summer Olympics

In the VIII Olympic Games in Paris in 1924, a competition in water polo took place. Venue was the swimming pool Les Elles tour.

The teams involved contributed 13 from a knockout tournament, with Belgium, Ireland and Spain in the first round had a bye. After the quarter-finals and semi-finals of the Olympic champion was determined in the final. In another knockout round played those teams who had lost against the Olympic champions, to the silver medal. The loser of this round then joined in the match for bronze on those teams who had lost against the losing finalist.
