West Lothian
West Lothian [ ˌ wɛstləʊðjən ] or Linlithgowshire (Gaelic Lodainn to Iar ) is one of 32 Council Areas in Scotland. It is located south of the Firth of Forth and is adjacent to Edinburgh, Falkirk and Midlothian.
West Lothian is a traditional county. As such, it is bordered by Stirlingshire, Lanarkshire and Midlothian.
Geography
The largest part of the area is a fertile hill country; the southwest part is flat, with vast stretches of moorland and heathland. West Lothian is rich in iron, coal and building blocks.
