List of chess grandmasters

The list of chess grandmasters leads to all chess players who have received the title of Grandmaster (GM). He is next to the world title, the highest title in chess and is awarded by the World Chess Federation FIDE according to certain criteria for life. Bearers of the honorary Grandmaster title and the woman grandmaster title are not included in the list.

The list is current as at 5 April 2014. At this time there were 1448 Grand Master, among them were 31 women. More 127 grandmasters are now dead, including a woman.
