12-12-12: The Concert for Sandy Relief

12-12-12: Concerto for Sandy victims ( Original: 12-12-12: Concert for Sandy relief ) was a benefit concert that took place on 12 December 2012 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

The concert was in response to Hurricane Sandy, who had devastated parts of the Northeast of the United States, the Caribbean and the Middle Atlantic in late October 2012 and caused an estimated damage of 71 billion U.S. dollars, organized. The concert was broadcast live on television, radio, cinema and the Internet on six continents. Proceeds from the event was collected from the Robin Hood Foundation for the victims of the hurricane in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

Background
