1938 International Lawn Tennis Challenge

The International Lawn Tennis Challenge 1938 was the 33rd edition of the competition organized by the ITF for men's national teams in tennis. The competition was held in two continental zones of Europe and the Americas zone. The winners of the two zones played a playoff for the final.

In continental playoff to Australia won against the German Empire, but was defeated in the subsequent from 3 to 5 September held the final defending champion United States. It was the 13th title in the USA so far.

In the playoff between the two winners of the continental zones Australia triumphed over the German Reich. Here, the German Empire could not win a single set.

Final

In the final between defending champion United States and Australia, the United States could prevail 3-2. It was the most 13 titles of the United States. The finale should be the first of 16 consecutive finals between the U.S. and Australia, as well as the first of 25 with Australian involvement in a row.
