1955 World Wrestling Championships
The Wrestling World Championships were held in 1955 to 25 April 1955 in Karlsruhe on 21. The wrestlers were divided into eight weight classes. In contrast to 1954, it was not wrestled in free but in Greco- Roman style. The wrestlers from the Soviet Union secured in seven of the eight competitions medals.
