1978 World Wrestling Championships

The Wrestling World Championships 1978 were held until August 27, 1978 in Mexico City on 20. It was fought in both the Greco-Roman and free style. The wrestlers were divided into ten weight classes. The Soviet Union celebrated athletes on the podium in all 20 contests.

Greco-Roman

The competitions in the Greco-Roman style were held to 23 August 1978 by the 20th. In addition to the medal winners Pasquale Passarelli came for Germany nor Erich Klaus fifth in the weight category -68 kg, Kurt Spaniol fifth in the weight category -82 kg, Hans- Günter Klein fifth in the weight -100 kg and Rolf Krauss as sixth in the weight category -52 kg under the respective top six. The competitions in freestyle were held until August 27, 1978 by the 24th. In addition to the medal winners Adolf Seger placed itself as a German wrestler nor Peter Neumair fourth in the weight category -90 kg and Martin Knosp sixth in the weight category -74 kg among the top six.
