This year, the Italian director Alessandro Blasetti was president of the jury. He stood in front of the following judges: Claude Lelouch, Georges Lourau, Georges Neveux, Gian Luigi Rondi -, Jean -Louis Bory, Miklós Jancsó, Ousmane Sembene, René Bonnell, Sergei Bondarchuk, Shirley MacLaine and Vincente Minnelli.
