1973 IAAF World Cross Country Championships

The first World Cross Country Championships IAAF took place at the racetrack of Waregem (Belgium ) on 17 March 1973.

The men started over a distance of 11.98 km, 3.99 km and the women over the juniors about 7.02 km.
