1981 IAAF World Cross Country Championships
The 9th IAAF World Cross Country Championships were held at the IAAF Hipódromo de la Zarzuela in Madrid ( Spain) on 28 March 1981.
The men started over a distance of 12 km, the women over 4.41 km and 7.25 km over the juniors.
