The 39th IAAF World Cross Country Championships ( officially the 39th IAAF World Cross Country Championships in 2011 ) took place in the Spanish Punta Umbria ( Huelva Province ) on March 20, 2011.

The council meeting of the IAAF World Athletics Association awarded the organization of the event on November 21, 2009 in Monte Carlo.

Individual classification

Of 122 reported 120 athletes took to the start and reached the goal of 113. Samuel Tsegay ( ERI) and Abera Kuma ( ETH) were subsequently disqualified for wrangling on the home straight.
