Defending champion Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci were, but who withdrew earlier this year in the semifinals against the Williams sisters. Won by the Czech pairing of Andrea Hlaváčková and Lucie Hradecká against Ashleigh Barty and Casey Dellacqua. For Hlaváčková it was in this year the second title in New York after she won the mixed title with Max Mirnyi one days before.
