Béchy
Béchy is a commune with 538 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region. It belongs to the district of Metz- Campagne and Canton Pange.
Geography
Béchy is located about 20 kilometers southeast of Metz on an average height of 275 m. The municipality covers 9.57 km ².
History
The village was first mentioned in 900 as Baschiacum.
From 1915 to 1918 and from 1940 to 1944 it was the Germanized name Bechingen.
