Bellevue Islands

The Bellevue Islands are a small group of islands belonging to Australia in the archipelago of the Torres Strait Islands. They are ( Torres Strait ) between the northern tip of Australia and Papua New Guinea approximately in the middle of the ocean passage.
The group consists of about a dozen islands, of which however only Mabuiag is inhabited. At the Bellevue Islands include, inter alia, following islands:
The area covers - including the maritime areas between the islands - approximately an area of 30 square kilometers.
Administratively, the island group belongs to the Western Islands, an island region in the municipality of Torres Shire of Queensland.
