Borovník

Borovník ( German Borownik, also Boruwka ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located eight kilometers north of Velka Bites and belongs to Okres Brno- venkov.

Geography

Borovník located in the belonging to the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands Highlands Křižanovská ( Krischanauer Bergland ) in the valley of the Halda. To the east rises the Chochol (512 m), the southwest Horka (551 m). On the plateau east of the village is situated one km from the airfield Borovník. To the southeast is the reservoir Níhovský fishpond.

Neighboring towns are Vidonín, Jeřábkův Mlýn and Vratislávka in the north, Rojetín in the northeast, Lubné in the east, and V Bařinách Níhov the southeast, Březské in the south, and Březí Ondrušky the southwest, Skřinářov in the west and Rozseč in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the village took place in 1398. The place was probably built at the beginning of the 14th century during the colonization of the country by German colonists Heynrichser. In the 14th and 15th centuries, the village belonged to the Vladiken of Borovník. 1451 is detectable as the last of Bernard Borovník. Ancient myth has it that should have existed in Borovník once three outdoor courtyards. In January 1581, acquired from Nová Ves and Radkov the goods Borovník and Rozseč. At the end of the 16th century bought Smil Osovsky z Doubravice Borovník and slammed the goods of his reign Ossowa to. He was succeeded in 1594 by Alena Meziříčský Lomnice whose heirs in 1612 Ossowa including the associated villages Osová Bítýška, Borovník, Milešín, Březí, Skřinářov, Ondrušky, Rozseč, Vlkov and Nová Ves and the desert castles Víckov and Rysov for 22,000 guilders to Jan Humpolecký of Rybenský sold. At the beginning of the 17th century was the village of seven houses. In the Thirty Years' War, the area was, inter alia, haunted by the Swedes and devastated. From this period comes the legend of the giant Juříček who stopped the waterwheel sawmill hand, and the Swedes should have done with a hoe resistance long time. Gepfarrt Borovník was originally by Hermann shock and was later connected to the parish Březí. The Count Haugwitz united in 1797 the gentlemen Náměšt and Ossowa. 1827 the village was hit by severe flooding in the Halda.

After the abolition of patrimonial Borovník formed in 1850 a part of the community Březí in the District team Velké Meziříčí. At the end of the 19th century Borovník broke off and formed its own community, even Rozseč belonged to the district until 1904. In 1900, 168 people lived in 21 houses of Borovník. 1910 the municipalities planned Rozseč and Borovník the construction of a common school. About the site has been much discussion, they finally should result in Borovník. Once again a dispute about the builder exporting broke out between the two communities, in 1911 the instruction was added to Borovník - in the house of the mayor Josef Svoboda. In 1912, the municipalities finally agreed also to construction and 1914, the school was able to be inaugurated. At this time, Council also discussed a road construction project because of the way Borovník was flooded especially during the snow melt and heavy rain. A Commission initially proposed the construction of the left side of the Halda ago, at the instigation of the proponents of a right-hand road construction changed some Commissioners finally their opinion. The realization was finally prevented by the outbreak of war and in 1922 the road was built on the right bank of the stream. 1943 in Borovník, until then a joint volunteer fire department had with Rozseč, founded by an ex officio fire department. In the same year there was a regulation of the Halda, while the new road bridge was built. In 1948 the municipality of the Okres Velka Bites was assigned. After the dissolution of the village came with the beginning of 1961 to Okres Zdar nad Sázavou. 1980 Borovník was incorporated into Březí. In 1990, the municipality Borovník arose again. Since early 2005, the community is part of the Borovník Okres Brno- venkov. Borovník today consists of 44 houses.
