Brignoles

Brignoles is a town in the French department of Var in the Provence- Alpes- Côte d' Azur. The city has 16,171 inhabitants ( 1 January 2011).

Brignoles is a sub-prefecture ( sous- préfecture French ) of the Var, Brignoles and administrative seat of the arrondissement of Brignoles canton.

Brignoles is since 1959 in a ring partnership with the cities of Gross-Gerau in Hesse, Brunico in South Tyrol and Tielt in West Flanders (Belgium ) connected to which it belongs in the province Wielkopolskie since 1997, the Polish Szamotuły ( Samter ).
