Cartigny, Switzerland
Cartigny is a municipality in the canton of Geneva in Switzerland. To the municipality at the center of the Champagne region includes the villages of Cartigny and La Petite Grave.
History
1220 the populated in Roman times Bardonnex was mentioned as Cartiniacum or Quartinie. 1528 Cartigny was conquered by the House of Savoy. 1536 Cartigny was liberated by the Bernese troops again, the residents had ignored on to the Reformed faith. 1567-1754 it passed like other Geneva municipalities of Savoy.
