Confignon is a municipality in the canton of Geneva in Switzerland.

History

1153 mentioned as Confiniacum, the community in 1536 went on to Bern. Since 1567 Confignon belonged to the House of Savoy. 1793 Confignon was together with Bernex and Onex a single municipality Bernex - Onex - Confignon. These belonged to France until 1816, after which the congregation became part of the canton of Geneva, and the communities separated in 1850 or 1851.
