Chaloem Phra Kiat District, Nakhon Si Thammarat

Amphoe Phra Kiat Chaloem ( Thai: อำเภอ เฉลิมพระเกียรติ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the province of Nakhon Si Thammarat. The Nakhon Si Thammarat province is located in the southern region of Thailand, about 780 km south of Bangkok on the east coast of the Malay Peninsula to the Gulf of Thailand.

Geography

Neighbouring districts (from north clockwise): Amphoe Phra Phrom which, Mueang Nakhon Si Thammarat, Pak Phanang, Chian Yai, Cha- uat and Ron Phibun. All Amphoe located in the province of Nakhon Si Thammarat.

History

Amphoe Phra Kiat Chaloem was established on 5 December 1996 along with four other counties of the same name Chaloem Phra Kiat, to celebrate the 50th Jubilee of King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX. ).

The county was created from the three tambon Khao Chian, Don Tro and Suan Luang Amphoe Chian Yai and of the Tambon Thang Phun Amphoe Ron Phibun from.

Management

Amphoe Ron Phibun is divided into four communities ( tambon), which in turn in 37 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

There are also four " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
