Domašov

Domašov ( German Domašov ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located 20 kilometers west of the center of Brno and belongs to Okres Brno- venkov.

Geography

Domašov located in the highlands Bobravská in the source basin of the creek Domašovský creek. Northeast to Košná hora collected ( 427 m ) southeast of the Kaličný (431 m ) south of the Velky Okrouhlík (454 m). To the southeast lies the pond Bahňák. To the north lies the nature park Údolí Bílého potoka. In the east and north of the site from the highway D1 / E 55 / E 65 is bypassed, the next exit 168 is Lesní Hluboké.

Neighboring towns are Maršovský Mlýn, Šmelcovna, Braníškov and Maršov in the north, Javůrek in the northeast, Hvozdec and Veverské Knínice in the east, Dolni Ricky and Ricky in the southeast, Chroustov and Marianske Údolí in the south, Litostrov and Zbraslav the southwest, Rudka in the west and Lesní Hluboké in the northwest.

History

The oldest mention of the good Tomaschkow and the associated village Ostrovačice in a dated on November 26, 1048 deed of gift to Duke Břetislavs I. Rajhrad has proven to be false document from the 13th century. The existence of the parish in Domašov is proven since 1255. Emperor Sigismund confirmed the monastery in 1436 all its privileges, including the donation possession of 1048. Occupied in 1468 during the power struggles for the crown of Bohemia Duke Viktorin, a son of the Bohemian King George of Podiebrad, Domašov and Ostrovačice. After the dissolution of the monastery Rajhrad in 1619 the monastic property was confiscated and sold in 1620 to the Protestants Sigmund Teuffenbach of Tiefenbach and Mayerhof on Dürnholz. After intercession of his brother Rudolf and father Charles the Elder of Zerotein Sigmund Teuffenbach was, which no actions were proof against the Emperor pardoned after the Battle of White Mountain in the execution and the loss of his goods. However, it was forbidden him, his possessions in Moravia to sell and leave the country. Sigmund Teuffenbach was afterwards to a spokesman of the emperor. In 1627 he converted to Catholicism. Until his death in 1637 Sigmund Teuffenbach mainly lived at Castle Dürnholz. Since he had no children fell dominions Dürnholz, Eichhorn and Říčany as well as the goods and Domašov Ostrovačice to his brother Rudolf. The rebuilt monastery Rajhrad bought Domašov Ostrovačice and finally by Rudolf Teuffenbach back. After 1676 in Ostrovačice a new parsonage was built, was the provost Celestine 1676 move the parish seat of Domašov after Ostrovačice. The provost Otmar Konrad sold in 1782 the inns in Ostrovačice Domašov. From the proceeds of 1000 guilders he left the parsonage in Domašov rebuild. In the years 1783-1787 the road connection from Brno to Jihlava was extended to the imperial road.

After the abolition of patrimonial Domašov / Domašov formed in 1850 a municipality in the district of Brno and from 1921 Okres Brno- venkov. In 1948 the church was assigned to the Okres Rosice. After its cancellation Domašov came back in 1961 to Okres Brno- venkov and Ricky was incorporated. 1990 Ricky is self again. Since 1998 Domašov leads a coat of arms and banners.
