Horrenbach- Book is a municipality in the administrative district of Thun in the canton of Bern in Switzerland.

Geography

The community is bisected by Teuffenthal. The western district of book forms the western half and basically consists of the hamlet of houses ( 1,008 m) and a few farmsteads. The eastern half Horrenbach community has no center of the settlement, but consists of several groups of houses and farmsteads. The creek Chäsereigraben, which flows from the left in the Zulg, is the only water in the district book, while there are some streams in the district Horrenbach. This is also much greater. Its boundaries run from the Sichle ( 1'952 m above sea level ) in a northeasterly direction to the Sigriswiler ridge along until the fall of Bach over. This forms the border with the neighboring community Eriz and unites with the Dräckergrabenbach and Kaltenbach (along with numerous other streams ) for Zulg. This is up to the confluence of the Prässerenbachs the entire northern boundary of the municipality. From the lower reaches of the Prässerenbachs the municipal boundary runs in a south-easterly direction back to Sichle. In the hamlet of Horrenbach are numerous larger wooded areas along streams. The largest forest areas, however, are the Hornegg and the Erizwald. The community is ( just behind tuna and Eriz, but clearly behind Sigriswil ) in area the fourth largest town in the administrative district of Thun. Book is on the road (tuna ) Steffisburg - Teuffenthal. Horrenbach is across leads via Teuffenthal and a small road from Linden (municipality Eriz ), accessible. The nearest motorway junction is Thun-Nord on the A6.
