Hrušovany u Brna

Hrušovany u Brna ( German Rohrbach ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located 17 kilometers south of the center of Brno and belongs to Okres Brno- venkov.

Geography

Hrušovany is located on the right side of the Satava in the South Moravian Thaya Schwarza valley floor. To the east of the city rises the Výhon ( 355 m). To the north is the Stauweiher Šejba. West leads past the expressway R 52, there is also the exit 17 Bratčice. In the southwest is a larger gravel mining area.

Neighboring towns are Rajhrad in the north, Vojkovice in the northeast, Židlochovice in the east, and Unkovice Žabčice in the south, Smolín the southwest, Medlov in the west and Ledce in the northwest.

History
