Jean-Michel Monin

Jean -Michel Monin ( born September 7, 1967 in Argenteuil ) is a former French cyclist.

The greatest success in the cycling career of Jean -Michel Monin was winning the gold medal in the team pursuit at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, together with Christophe Capelle, Philippe Ermenault and Francis Moreau. In the same year, the French foursome finished at the track world championships second place behind the team from Italy.

Five times Momin became French champion in the two - team driving and three times in the Team Pursuit. He also denied some 40 six-day races, two of them in Noumea won it in 1994 with Jean -Claude Colotti and 1997 with Christian Pierron.

Today, Jean -Michel Monin for the Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO ) which would, inter alia, the Tour de France organized.
