Kuřimské Jestřabí

Kuřimské Jestřabí ( German Jestrab at Gurein ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located nine kilometers north-east of Velka Bites and belongs to Okres Brno- venkov.

Geography

Kuřimské Jestřabí located in the belonging to the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands Highlands Křižanovská ( Krischanauer Bergland ) between the valleys of Libochovka and Blahoňůvka about the source trough a small creek. Southeast of the Mlýnský rises vrch (435 m) and to the north west, the Pláně ( 477 m).

History

The first written mention of the village Jestřabí took place in 1390, as CENEK of Loučky and Kunštáts wife Margaret inherited from her father John of Lomnice and Deblín possession earned him the marriage and joined to the rule Deblín. 1415 sold Jan von Lomnice the rule Deblín to Archleb of Věteřov. After the abolition of patrimonial Kuřimské Jestřabí formed in 1850 a municipality in the district of Brno. 1859 education was taken at No. 30. Two years later a private school house. At the end of the 19th century the village was known as Jestřabí u Kuřími. Since 1896, the village belonged to the newly formed district Tischnowitz. 1898 was a new school, in which the children of Kuřimská Nová Ves and Blahoňov were enrolled. In the same year a road was built that led from Dolni Loučky to the creek Blahoňovka, this was extended in 1906 to Jestřabí Katov. The village consisted of 39 houses in 1900 and had 241 inhabitants. At the beginning of the 20th century, the name Kuřimské Jestřabí prevailed and since 1923 the place carries the official name Kuřimské Jestřabí. In 1921 the community had 225 inhabitants, the Czechs and Catholics were all. In 1927, the access road to Blahoňov. After the dissolution of Okres Tišnov the village came with the beginning of 1961 to Okres Zdar nad Sázavou. The school was closed in 1978, school location has since Dolni Loučky.
