Lardaro

Lardaro ( in the Trentino dialect: Larder, German: Larder ) is an Italian municipality ( comune ) in Trentino in the autonomous region of Trentino- South Tyrol with 208 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012). The municipality is situated approximately 37 km west-southwest of Trento on the Chiese Chiesetal and belongs to the Comunità Giudicarie.

History

Importance was the place for the Austria -Hungarian military. To Lardaro the blocking group Lardaro had been built in the late 19th century. Several barrages - most recently the work Corno - were built to defend against Italy. War gained importance these works, as well as the actual work Lardaro, never.
