Mike Fisher (ice hockey)

Michael Andrew Fisher ( born June 5, 1980 in Peterborough, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who plays for the Nashville Predators of the National Hockey League since February 2011.

The 1.85 m tall striker began his career with the Sudbury Wolves in the Canadian Junior Football League OHL before being selected by the Senators in the NHL Entry Draft in 1998 as 44th in the second round.

His first NHL season played the right shooter 1999/2000, when he completed 32 games for the Senators, while four times could find the net and gave five assists. During the lockout of 2004/ 05 Fisher stood by EV train in the Swiss National League A on the ice after the season he returned to Ottawa back to his 44 scorer points at that time in the season 2005 / 06 with 22 goals and as many assists to time best series in the jersey the Senators deliver.

27 December 2006, Fisher suffered an injury to his right knee and was sidelined four weeks after his return was the unofficial fourth captain soon again the usual performance in its top North American professional league. Since July 2010, Fisher is married to American country singer Carrie Underwood. The couple dating since October 2008 after they had met at a concert in Toronto through mutual friends. In December 2009 they had both engaged.
