Millard Hampton
Millard Hampton ( Millard Frank Hampton Jr., born July 8, 1956 in Fresno ) is a former American sprinter and Olympic gold medalist.
In 1976, he won the U.S. Championship over 200 meters
At the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal, he won over the same distance in 20.29 s the silver medal behind the Jamaican Donald Quarrie ( 20.23 s ) and ahead of his compatriot Dwayne Evans ( 20.43 s ). In the 4 x 100 - meter relay team, he won together with his teammates Harvey Glance, Johnny Jones and Steve Riddick before the teams from East Germany and the Soviet Union.
In 1980 he was U.S. vice- champion in the 200 m.
