Geography

Geographical location

The small spa resort mill creek lies in a side of the Kinzig valley of the Black Forest. Through the town flows the river of the same name.

Neighboring communities

The municipality is bordered to the north by the cities Haslach and Hausach, to the east by Gutach, in the south on the town Elzach in Emmendingen and to the west by Hofstetten.

The municipality is situated on the main road 294 ( Bretten - Freiburg im Breisgau).

The nearest railway station is in Haslach on the Black Forest Railway, there is connection to the Ortenau S-Bahn and regional express trains of the relation Karlsruhe - Konstanz.

In mill creek there is a Roman Catholic kindergarten and a primary and secondary school. A junior high school located in Haslach and a high school in Hausach.
