Namtok Phlio National Park

The National Park Namtok Phlio ( Thai: อุทยานแห่งชาติ น้ำตก พลิ้ว ) is a national park in the province ( Changwat ) Chanthaburi, Eastern Thailand. It is named after the waterfall Phlio ( พลิ้ว ), which translates as " smooth movement " expresses.

History

The park was established on May 2, 1975 at the area of the waterfall and was first called National Park Khao Sa Bap. On September 29, 1982 they would eventually renamed it National Park Namtok Phlio.

Between 1966 and 1991, the present National Park was a forest reserve.

Ob Luang National Park was opened in 1991 as the 68th National Park in Thailand.

Location

The park is located on the territory of several counties ( Amphoe ): Mueang Chanthaburi, Laem Sing, Khlung and Makham. The waterfall is located about 14 km from the city area Chanthaburi away.

Topography

The Namtok Phlio National Park is approximately 134.5 km ². It is home to large areas of forest and mountainous terrain with some sources of rivers, such as Khlong Phlio, Khlong Narai, Khlong Troknong and Khlong Makok.

Phlio Waterfall

Stupa and Chedi
