Nathaniel Hazard

Nathaniel Hazard ( * 1776 in Newport, Rhode Iceland, † December 17, 1820 in Washington DC ) was an American politician. Between 1819 and 1820 he represented the second electoral district of the state of Rhode Iceland in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

The exact date of birth of Nathaniel Hazard is not known. Until 1792, he studied at Brown University in Providence. He was a member of the founded by President Thomas Jefferson Democratic- Republican Party. In the years 1818 and 1819 was Hazard deputy in the House of Representatives from Rhode Iceland.

In the congressional elections of 1818 he was elected for the second seat in parliament of the state of Rhode Iceland in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington. He took over from James Brown Mason of the Federalist party on March 4, 1819. He could not finish the legislative session, which ended on March 3, 1821, as he died on 17 December 1820.
