Warren O. Arnold

Warren Otis Arnold ( born June 3, 1839 in Coventry, Rhode Iceland, † April 1, 1910 in Westerly, Rhode Iceland ) was an American politician. Between 1887 and 1891, and 1895-1897, he was the second electoral district of the state of Rhode Iceland in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Warren Arnold attended the public schools of his home, and was followed from 1857 to 1864 in Coventry engaged in trade. Then he began to work in the textile industry. Politically, he was a member of the Republican Party. In 1886 he was chosen as their candidate in the second district of Rhode Iceland in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington. There he broke on March 4, 1887 from the Democrats Charles H. Page, whom he had defeated in the election. After a re-election in 1888, he could initially remain until March 3, 1891 at the Congress. For the 1890 elections no candidate achieved a majority, which led to a new election, no longer took at the Arnold. His seat fell again to Charles Page.

1894 Arnold was then re-elected to Congress, where he play on March 4, 1895 his old seat again and was able to fill up to 3 March 1897, for a term of office. In the following elections in 1896, he renounced another candidacy and retired after the end of the term of office from politics. In the following years, Arnold devoted again his former business activities in the textile industry.
