Nelepeč-Žernůvka

Nelepeč - Žernůvka until 1995 Nelepeč, is a village in the Czech Republic. It is located three kilometers southwest of Tišnov and belongs to Okres Brno- venkov.

Geography

Nelepeč - Žernůvka located in the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands. Nelepeč lies in the valley of the brook Bolehlávka and Žernůvka an abundant kilometers south-east of it at the confluence of Bolehlávka in the Závistka. North-east rises the Kozi brada (366 m), in the southeastern Bačkovec (419 m ) south of Nad Zámkem (476 m) and in the northwest of Pasnik ( 543 m).

Neighboring towns are Předklášteří in the north, Tišnov in the northeast, Závist in the east, Hradcany and Brezina in the southeast, Vohančice and Pejškov in the south, Čížky and Deblín the southwest, Úsuší and Kuřimské Jestřabí in the west and Falcov, Chytálky, Mezihoří and Dolni Loučky in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of belonging to the reign Deblín villages Nelepeč and Žernůvka took place in a derived from the period around 1390 directory of the estate of John of Lomnice and Deblín. The Lords of Lomnice held the property until 1415 and then sold him to Archleb of Věteřov. During the Hussite Wars, the region was looted. Owner of the domain Deblín were at this time the lords of Boskowitz, 1466 sold it to the royal city of Brno.

After the abolition of patrimonial Nelepeč and Žernůvka belonged from 1850 as districts for community Úsuší in the Brno district, judicial district Tischnowitz. Since 1896, the villages were part of the newly formed district Tischnowitz. 1921 was the community Nelepeč with the district Žernůvka. In 1930, the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of the 3rd Order of St. Francis under the protection of the Holy Family ( Kongregace Milosrdných sester III. Radu sv. Františka pod ochranou Svaté Rodiny ) Žernůvka in a monastery. After the dissolution of Okres Tišnov the community Nelepeč came with the beginning of 1961 to Okres Brno- venkov. On 1 April 1995, the community changed its name to Nelepeč - Žernůvka. Gepfarrt the village is by Deblín. The monastery building now serves as a retirement home.
