Nico Krämmer

Krämmer Nicolas (born 23 October 1992 in Landshut ) is a German professional ice hockey player who is since 2011 in the Hamburg Freezers of the DEL under contract.

Career

Nicolas Krämmer began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior section of the EV Landshut, for the U18 junior team he was active in the German Junior League from 2007 to 2010. For the professional team of Landshut Cannibals he was in season 2009/10 parallel his debut in the Bundesliga 2. In this he prepared in his rookie year in 13 games before two goals. For the season 2010/11 he is equipped for both Landshut in the 2nd Bundesliga, as well, with a production license, eligible to play for the ERC Ingolstadt in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga.

In April 2011 he received a contract with the Hamburg Freezers, but opted for an engagement with the Acadie - Bathurst Titan of the LHJMQ, his three-year contract in Hamburg remained unaffected. According to the U20 World Cup 2012, the striker decided not to return to North America. Instead, he ran on for the remainder of the 2011/12 season for his hometown club, the Landshut Cannibals and won the championship in the second Hockey League.

Internationally

For Germany Krämmer took part in the Under-18 Junior World Cup in 2010, when with his team he reached the promotion to the top division. He himself contributed with four goals and three assists in five games to this success.

Familial

Nicolas is the nephew of the German ice hockey legend Gerd Truntschka.
