Nissan Almera

The Nissan Almera is a by autumn 2006 built by late summer of 1995 passenger car model in the compact class of the Japanese automaker Nissan.

The Almera ( in Japan and elsewhere offered as Nissan Pulsar, Lucino, Bluebird Sylphy and Sentra ) was in the European markets the successor of the Nissan Sunny and competed with it for example with VW Golf, Opel Astra, Ford Focus, Toyota Corolla and Renault Mégane.

For the Almera engines were 75-143 hp. The production for the main markets was discontinued in the fall of 2006. Successor is the Nissan Tiida.

In Central and South America and Middle East countries, the four-door notchback version of the second Almera 1.6 is still - and 1.8 -liter engine offered. However, the vehicle is offered for part under the name Almera and partly as Sunny, in some cases, as revised in autumn 2002 version.

Nissan Almera five-door hatchback (1995-1998)

The Nissan Almera ( N15 type ) was offered from September 1995. It was available as a three or five-door - flow or a four-door notchback.

The compact -link rear suspension was introduced with the Almera N15 and should ensure optimum road holding, especially when hard braking in curves. Modern DOHC four-valve engines are also part of the repertoire of this vehicle. Facelift

With the revision in March 1998, ABS and side airbags have been added as standard equipment. The grille, headlights, taillights and front bumper have been modified to improve the appearance of the car.

Standard equipment now also included ABS and four airbags, clear-glass headlights and blinker and modified rear lights, an insulating mat on the hood, white speedometer instruments and electric adjustable mirrors whose housing was now painted in body color.

In February 2000, production of the Almera hatchback has been established, the notchback sedan ended in June 2000.

In March 2000, the second generation (type N16 ) of the Almera appeared. First, she stood as a five-door hatchback three and available. In July, the conservative notchback sedan followed.
