Oslavice

Oslavice ( German United Woslawitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is two and a half kilometers southwest of Velké Meziříčí and belongs to Okres Zdar nad Sázavou.

Geography

Oslavice located in Krischanauer Bergland ( Křižanovská Highlands ) in the south of the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands. The village is situated between the valleys of three rivers, the Balinka to the north, the east and the Oslava Oslavička in the south. By Oslavice leads the railway line from Náměšť nad Oslavou to Velké Meziříčí, discharges from the site in a branch line into the industrial area of Velké Meziříčí.

Neighboring towns are in the North America, Velké Meziříčí in the northeast, Petráveč in the east, in the southeast Osové, Rohy and Oslavička in the south, and Ovčírna Nový Telečkov in the southwest, and Baliny Uhřínov in the west and Svařenov and Hrbov in the northwest.

History

The first mention was made in 1320 in connection with a Budivoj of Oslavice. Owner of the village at the time were the lords of Mostiště. After Jan had purchased from Meziříčí 1386-1390 part of the rule Mostiště, Oslavice has been connected to the rule Meziříčí. Oslavice was the seat of a judge, which were under the surrounding villages. Since the transition from the 15th to the 16th century was located east of the village on the Oslavička a wooden mill, which was named after its owner Mlýn 1641 Jakub Hust as Hušťův. 1714 the first land registry was created in 1750 and established a school. This drew in 1830 a new school house.

After the abolition of patrimonial Velka Voslavice / Great Woslawitz formed a municipality in the district team Velké Meziříčí. Later the village was also called Velka Oslavice. In 1898 founded the volunteer fire department. A workhouse was established in 1902. At the beginning of the 20th century originated in Oslavice a Zementwarenfabrik. At this time, the old Hušťův was canceled Mlýn. Since 1920 the place has been called Oslavice. At the beginning of 1961, the municipality was assigned to the Okres Zdar nad Sázavou. In 1962, an arts center. Oslavice was incorporated in 1980 after Velké Meziříčí. Since 1992, the community is again.

  • Marble cross in 1933, at the chapel
  • Memorial stone of granite, it is reminiscent of a soldier sank along with the horse in the marsh
  • Remains of fortifications on the gravel fraction, at the place designated as V Hrádcích should have stood a castle that became extinct before 1355.
