Parlamentarium

Parlamentarium is the visitors center of the European Parliament in Brussels ( at the Espace Léopold complex). This was opened on October 14, 2011 by the then President of the European Parliament, Jerzy Buzek, after four years of planning and construction.

It is the largest visitor center of a parliament in Europe. It is also the first exhibition in Europe ( approximately 2900m2 ), which is designed completely in the 24 official languages ​​of the European Union (through multimedia guide ).

The exhibition is designed as a multimedia installation with interactive elements, in which, for example, Find out more about the European Union, the European Parliament and each Member is mediated.

Center of the exhibition visitors is the space " United in Diversity " with a 3 -D LED installation on the ceiling with more than 13,000 LED points. The visitor center is open daily with free admission and designed for disabled guests. In 2011, about 250,000 visitors visited the Parlamentarium.
