Paska, Germany
Paska is a municipality in the Thuringian Saale- Orla-Kreis and belongs to the administrative community Ranis goat back. The place is located in close proximity to Hohenwarte reservoir.

History
The founding of the village Paska probably dates back to the 13th century. 1378, the village was first mentioned in records. In the 16th and 17th century bore the name Passeck. Archaeological excavations proved by grave finds the settlement of the Celts in the area around the place.
Paska is a Angersdorf. The typical old farmsteads with their three-and four-sided courtyards are usually half-timbered buildings. The village lies on the edge of the nature reserve Sormitzgrund.

Culture and sights
Historical monuments
At the cemetery the grave monuments remind of four prisoners were shot to death march from the concentration camp Buchenwald, which was driven in April 1945 by SS men through the town.
Transport links
Through the village, a road leads to the left mill. From there you can cross the Saale with a car ferry since 1995. Through the village used to lead the Nuremberg trade route.
