Rally New Zealand

The Rally New Zealand is one of the 13 rounds of the World Rally Championship. It is the oldest discharged in the southern hemisphere rally, which has a FIA World Cup title. She found as Silver Fern Rally in 1969 in Taupo instead, was moved in the following year under the same name to Canterbury and returned in 1971 as Heatway International Rally back to the North Island of New Zealand back. In 1977 she was first driven world championship status. The most common venue was previously Auckland, since 2006 it will be held in Hamilton. The Rally New Zealand leads mostly on fast gravel roads with large radii of curvature along the coast and through forests. In 2001 she was chosen by the teams of the World Cup for the rally of the year.
